This white paper summarizes the on-going testing campaign being performed on beam to beam connections using RICON 40mm connectors. It provides background information, updates on progress and some preliminary results. This testing campaign is being carried forward at Queen’s University and will focus on investigating the capacity and performance of beam to beam connections utilizing RICON connectors. Specifically, the capacity of a double connection will be under investigation. Results will provide designers with the information to more adequately understand the behavior of beam to beam connections utilizing double RICON connectors to achieve the required capacity.
