What is the maximum distance that inclined screws in a screw cross be spaced apart?

If an inclined shear-tension screw and an inclined shear-compression screw are far apart, do they still function as a screw cross?
Normal 3.4
To date, validation testing for symmetrical screw crosses has generally been designed to confirm minimum, rather than maximum, geometry requirements. It should be remembered that shear-compression screws promote element separation, while shear-tension screws do the opposite, so that when combined, these tendencies cancel out one another. When designing screw crosses to transfer lateral loads, the shear-tension screw and the shear-compression screw should close enough to be overlapping in either member (along the line of the force), as this reflects tested arrangements. Additionally, the minimum offset distance to avoid interference is 1.5D (CC).
